There is something magical about summer evenings in the Dordogne Perigord. Getting together with good friends, sitting around a table on a terrace overlooking a magnificent landscape of rolling green hills --- crops standing strong and tall and proud, a scattering of stone farm houses here and there, a little bunch of flowers from the garden on the table -- a delicious meal that everyone helped prepare -- with a glass of local wine, sparkling conversation, -- watching the glorious sunset in the west, and then, some time later, watching the moon rise up in the east --
